  • Need advice for training of hair color product

    Hello all,

I am currently working on projects for hair color products, mostly on permanent hair color.

I discovered that the successful development of this project is critical in the field of oxidation chemistry. So I was wondering if anyone know or could recommend an online course that covers oxidation hair dye/oxidative chemistry/guideline of developing color shades by combining various primary precursors and couplers?

    Thanks

@attapol if you are a member of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists you may avail over 50 years of technical papers on this topic through their Resource section. Meanwhile get hold of Vivimed Labs USA (Aako in the EU) and ask for assistance using their Jarocol line. This is much an art as it is a science.

Teluca, who manufacture hair colourants of all kinds, also have some excellent resources available, including a colour chart showing what can be achieved with particular combinations of bases and couplers
a tip from personal experience: if you want to mix colours, use one base with multiple couplers, or one coupler with multiple bases
if you try to combine multiple bases with multiple couplers, it becomes an absolute disaster zone

Thank you so much for your advice and shared your experince @Bill_Toge

I already have Teluca colour chart and it is very helpful. I mainly use guidance on Teluca color chart for my work but sometimes, when I found the color is not come out as I desired. So that I am looking for more guideline on how to adjust the tone of color ,for example for more yellow or want to adjust it to more persistent.
