    Hi!

I am making a conditioning shampoo for kids. My client wants it to be as natural as possible. They want to get certified by Safe Cosmetics Australia, and want the EWG ratings to be 0-2.

I am having a hard time thickening my shampoo.

    My surfacant combo:
Sodium Cocoyl Apple Amino Acids 10%
Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate (and) Lauryl Glucoside 15%
    Disodium cocoyl glutamate 10%
    Coco betaine 5%

Excipients: GHTC, kokum butter w/s, Natural betaine, Cocoglucosdide+glyceryl oleate, Vit E acetate, and PE+EHG as preservative.

I tried a lot of different surfactant combinations, but i liked this one the best.  It is gentle, not stripping, at the same time not sticky (like APGs or Sarcosinate), cleans well, washes off really well too.

I have tried thickening it with HPMC, SCMC, Xanthan gum, Veegum ultra, Guar gum, even Pectin. I tried salt too, just to see!

I am looking for a natural thickener. Please help.
