Nail polish subcontractor is now gone
A while back someone inquired here about getting private label nail polishes manufactured, and I was going to recommend Verla International in NY state. Well, as they say in that part of the USA: “fuggetabottit”. Verla’s plant exploded and burned in early November, with injury and loss of life no less. I cannot recommend a Plan B right now. Just FYI.

video of the first explosion. Not sure what set it off, it went up quick. Looks like toweling down the plastic bin, in the presence of vapors i.e. static electricity?
Could also be chemical (something in the wipe, mixed with spilled solvent?)

The Verla plant has been cited multiple times recently by federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration for safety violations deemed “serious,” according to Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office.
Standards or issues the plant was cited for included maintenance, safeguards and operational features for exit routes, flammable and combustible liquids, eye and face protection, respiratory protection, and medical services and first aid.
