  Hi can any one help me with the recipe for magic lipsticks I am aware I need red dye 27 where can I purchase this, and what would be the method to making it I want to make a variety of colours please some advice

  Eosin is also known as D&C Red 21 changes to an intense red salt when the pH is above 4.

  There are halogenated fluoresceins which may perform well in this application.  D&C Red no. 27,  D&C Orange no. 5, D&C Red no. 21, D&C Orange no. 10.  Just check if they are all permitted by legislation as this is quite old information.  Sun Chemical should stock all of these but I think the minimum order quantity may be 25kg.  Good luck.  Roberto

  @Roberto1969, D&C Orange 10 is banned in Europe, but all the others are OK
