I plan to mix a few Shampoo ingredients by hand, or with a shear mixer if you think it would be needed. I’m also looking to purchase an electronic PH tester. If anyone knows of the cheapest electronic ph tester that will be able to accurately test this mix when done I would really appreciate it. Prefer a electronic tester that I can just put the final product on and it will give a reading.

    The ingredients are:

1.) Glycerin 2-4% (mixes in water, ph 7)

2.) DMD Hydantoin .2-.6% (MIxes in water, ph 6.5-7.5, Can agitate skin)

3.) Decyl Glucoside 2-4% (Might need shear mix?, Higher ph 7-9.5)

4.) Polyquaternium 7  3% (Might need shear mix?, ph 6.5-7.5)

5.) Laureth 4  1-2% (Might need shear mix?, ph? hlb 9.5 not sure what that means?) Can heat to 80 degress celcius to mix in water..

Any information on coming up with a final mix of these ingredients into something I can use daily on my hair. The final product I’m hoping to get the ph into the 6.5-7.5 range and I have citric acid if needed to lower the ph. If any of these ingredients would be too difficult to use, or if I leave out a few of the ingredients and can still make a good mix I would probably go with it. I also want to make sure that if I’m going to use this mix daily that the ph is at a safe level. I would appreciate any info someone might have on this. Thanks!
