  • menthol dissolution and degree of irritation

I’m thinking of including menthol for my aqueous (water type) deo spray.

Please share thoughts if you have suggestions/answers to any of these parts!

    1. Dissolution.

L-menthol is not soluble in water. Is dissolving in Etoh and then putting in my water based system the way to go, or would that pellet the thing down? Is there any other “natural”-y way to dissolve this other than using Etoh?

    2. Concentration

What would be a good concentration for a spray deo?

    3. Irritation

I also read that some people are sensitive to menthol.

Would using menthyl lactate be better?

    4. Antiperspirant effect

Does it really help preventing sweating to some degree?

I don’t expect it to be as strong as aluminum ones, of course, but is it quite significant a benefit such that it’s worth adding?

    Gracias
