I’ve been messing around with the pomade formula below and when I mix the water phase into the oil phase it turns into a plastic blob. Which ingredient(s) is responsible for this?

    I’m mixing the 2 phases at 86C

    Oil Phase:
    Cet-25 - 20%
    Peg 7 Glyceryl Cocoate - 6%
    Beeswax - 3%
    Peg-40 HCO - 2.5%
    Oils - 1%

    Water Phase:
    Water - 53
    Glycerin - 6
    Propylene Glycol - 5
    PVP - 1
    Silica - .5

After stirring by hand for about 15 seconds, it becomes a solid.

    Thank you!
