  Low/High Polar Esters

  Hi, 

  What is the importance of knowing if the esters in your formula (esp. emulsions) are low or high polar esters? Do high polarity esters solubilize both oils and silicones? Does the polarity affect the stability of the formula? I’m finding it difficult to find this information anywhere.
