First of all I don’t see Ethylhexylglycerin in provided INCI. Secondly, the product is waterless, so no emulsifier is required.

And thirdly…. I’m not sure why you would consider it an emulsifier, even if it was included.

Overall …. looks like something a beginner tossed together to try and ring as many ‘claim’ bells as possible. A plethora of irritants and allergens. Look for something efficacious to model!

Appears to be one of those brands…. that only list…. what they think you want to see. 🙁

The aloe is likely less than 1% of the formula and the extracts probably don’t equal much more which is why there is a preservative that mixes well with oils but no emulsifier (unless there’s a solubalizer which can be included in the extracts). It has vitamin A so it looks like a “retinol” oil serum? Are you trying to copy the formula? If so you can remove half of the formula including the aloe. most extracts, you can use antioxidants like vitamin e to elongate shelf life. Also you can eliminate the top allergens like lavender. PS. Almost all of the ingredients are for claims only, you can always tell when those ingredients come after the fragrance which is rarely more than a fraction of 1%. Some do use more than 1% but usually in a wash off formula. But also all of those extracts attract bacteria so not worth it for claims. Its better to have a good product with decent marketing to overcome the bias towards fancy ingredients.

Is this The Mane Choice Dangerous Luster And Shine Illuminator (hair) oil? This product?https://www.myhairandbeauty.co.uk/the-mane-choice/curl-boost-spray/dangerous-luster-and-shine-illuminator Or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FUN3c3c7L8 ?

If it is, it doesn’t have EHG (ethylhexylglycerin) only phenoxyethanol. It is just a thickened oil. It’s also from the UK, so that retinyl palmitate is has in it, needs to be less than 0.05% retinol Equivalent (RE) as it’s not a facial skin care product, which limits leave-on and rinse-off to 0.3%.

It’s been thickened with fumed silica (something like Aerosil 200, I’d assume). Fumed silica stabilises formulations by thickening the oil (creates 3D hydrogen-bonded network that entraps oil) and suspending insoluble or particulate matter (like botanical extracts).

In reality It is just Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Silica, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, and Tocopheryl Acetate. The rest is marketing.

They only have small amounts of water based extracts, likely totalling 0.010 - I counted 6 extracts? likely added @ 0.001%. each. Thus making the water phase well under 1.0%.
