  iron oxides and irradiation

  Good day dear chemists. 
  I have a question in regards to iron oxides and minerals. We usually send them for irradiation before using them either in masks or loose or compact powders. 
  My question is about lipsticks(anhydrous) , should i do the same and send the minerals for irradiation, or since the process involves heating , i don’t need to do this
