  • How to make hair wax/cream water resistant?

Posted by ajw000 on March 3, 2018 at 2:30 pm

I am almost complete with my first hair cream/wax but am having an issue with water/sweat quickly reducing the hold power of the product.

How do I increase the water resistant properties?

Here are some of the Ingredients:
    - Water: 50%
    - Ozokerite: 9%
    - microcrystalline wax: 5%
    - Peg40 castor oil: 5%
    - pvp/VA copolymer 73w: 8% (50%water solution)
    -pvp k30: 3% powder

I am considering using acrylate copolymer to add a bit of water resistance to the formula.
