  • How to improve coverage duration of an oil based concealer?

So I’m relatively new to the concealer game, and wondering what ingredients can help increase the duration the concealer works for on the skin whilst helping ensure high coverage (I’m particularly interested in a formula that will help hide nasty blemishes). Currently I’m using around 10% TiO2 and 10% ZnO as opacifiers, and around 10% Creasperse premixed pigment. The rest is vegetable oils.

Are there any oils or oil soluble ingredients that will help the duration of the effect? I see castor seed oil is quite popular among concealers. I could increase the amount of Candelia wax, but then it quickly becomes hard to blend in, so maybe there are other options?

Almost everything that does this is synthetic - you need oil soluble film formers

Anything that’s not? Doesn’t castor seed oil form a film to some extent?

    Open to using synthetics.
