  How to create a clear emulsion with cetearyl alcohol

  I’ve been trying to replicate a leave in conditioner but switch the emollients a bit and I can’t seem to get that clear, gel like consistency.

  Here are the ingredients of the leave in and what it looks like:

  GLYCERIN (VEGETABLE/VÉGÉTALE), WATER (EAU), PROPANEDIOL, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, BEHENTRIMONIUM METHOSULFATE, BUTYROSPERMUM PARK” (SHEA) BUTTER* 9, VITIS VINIFERA (GRAPE) SEED OIL, MELALEUCA ALTERNIFOLIA (TEA TREE) LEAF OIL, HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL, PANTHENOL, MENTHOL, TRIETHYL CITRATE, CAPRYLYL GLYCOL, BENZOIC ACID, FRAGRANCE (PARFUM)

  This is my dupe formula:

  47% glycerin

  43% water

  3% cetearyl alcohol

  2.5% btms 50

  1.5% shea butter

  1.5% broccoli seed oil

  1% Geogard

  .5% panthenol

  This formula created a very creamy consistency and not a more translucent, jelly consistency like the actual product. I reduced the cetearyl alcohol and BTMS to 1% and that just turned it into a liquid. Any thoughts on how to get a clear, gel like consistency with these ingredients? Also, I blend with an immersion blender.
