Hey everyone, let’s make a mild clear gel cleanser. I know it’s about trying things out, but I’d really like to tap into your experience. Here are the ingredients we have:

Surfactants: Genagen 3sb blend, decyl glucoside (Plantacare 818 UP), sodium cocoyl isethionate powder, cocamidopropyl betaine (Dehyton PK 45), sodium cocoyl glutamate (Plantapon ACG 50), and Plantapon SF.

Thickeners: Rheocare TTA (acrylates copolymer), xanthan gum, Solaum AX, Sclerothix, Instanthix, and Rheocare C Plus (carbomer).

    Preservative: euxyl PE 9010.

Other ingredients: hyaluronic acid, glycerin, allantoin, and Cetiol 767, sodium hydroxide and lactic acid.

Based in your experience which surfactants do you think i should go with and which thickener is compatible with the above surfactants and can make a nice clear gel?

    i’d really appreciate your help

It can depend on a few factors and your requirements, the combination doesn’t need to be too difficult.

    For example:

    • Genagen 3sb blend + thickener + Cetiol 767 (optional)
    • sodium cocoyl glutamate + cocamidopropyl betaine + thickener
    • Plantapon SF + thickener (depending on viscosity requirements)

For my cleanser, it’s a mix of Sodium Lauroyl Glutamate & Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate in a foam bottle. I didn’t make it into a gel. ASM around 5%.

    genagen 3sb blend (20%) + xanthan gum (0.8%) + glycerine + allantoin + preservative

adjust your pH by lactic acid.
