PH has to be maintained at 3.5 to 5.0 in solution.

can’t speak from personal experience, but the most foolproof way appears to be electrodialysis, as outlined in US patent 3616385

Thanks for those. I read both patents. Now I understand the difficulty; it’s a question of purification, getting one product out of a mixture of five. I’ll give this a miss, it’s maybe of interest to larger companies. In terms of skin health I think it may be related to the bleach baths used by eczema sufferers.
