I am having trouble finding reasonably priced equipment for dry powder mixing and hope to receive some recommendations. I need something small scale, capable of handling no more than 5 or 10 kg of powder at a time. I am looking to homogenize powder formulations that contain powders of different particle sizes. Is there any equipment anyone is aware of out there—conical screw mixer, high shear mixer, etc.—that is under a thousand dollars that would be able to homogenize my powder formulations at production quality? Really appreciate any insight.

Would a heavy duty rotary tumbler (similar to a rock tumbler) be suitable for your needs?

I suppose if it had an agitator blade inside that could work, although I haven’t heard of using a rotary tumbler for this application. Are you familiar with any that have an agitator blade in the middle or similar?

I have seen bath salts made in something similar using a drum with baffles. It is my understanding that the baffles help with mixing.
