Hi. Ive been doing hair conditioner for my own use and tried different formulas.  One that i remember is not liking the one from lotioncrafter.

    Formula
    Percent Ingredient
    85.0  Distilled Water
    2.0  DL-Panthenol    * used d panthenol and just adjusted to 1%
    0.2  Disodium EDTA
    6.0  Lotioncrafter BTMS
    5.0  Lotioncrafter DM350  *used 1000 instead of 350
1.0  Biguanide 20    *used liquid germall
    0.8  Fragrance

    Hair is colored/dry/thin-fine

Im not sure if its because of the changes i made. I know i can use btms this high on my hair.  So im leaning on the 5% dimethicone-that its too high for me? Can anyone let me know why dimethicone is too much for my hair type?

Also i cant use polyquat 7 more than 1% is it related to this?

@mizzm 5% of dimethicone is definitely too high for a conditioner. You can try a formula with around 2%. Also, even 1% of Panthenol in these type of formulas can be a wastw, since it’s basically a claim ingredient in a rinse-off.
