  Help! guar gum fail

  I made a deep conditioner with guar gum a while ago. It turned out really good and worked great, but after a few days, I noticed it had been swelling, and was overflowing. It just kept swelling. 
  I still want to use guar gum, what could have gone wrong? what can i do better?
