  • Help! Emulsifier in Oil-to-Milk Cleanser is Separating/Dropping Out

    Hello!
I have an oil-to-milk cleanser that contains several carrier oils including oils with color to them, like Tamanu and Polyglyceryl Oleate-4. I keep getting fallout at the bottom of my bottles once the product has settled for a few hours. To me, it looks like the poly mixed with sediment from the tamanu because of it’s dark color. I have strained the tamanu and gotten the same fallout (maybe even worse) result. Could this be a reaction to the tamanu/other high viscosity oils like castor? Is it a bad batch of poly? Should I be using an extra like Olivem300? I am using it within it’s recommended range between 5%-15%

Any thoughts would be very helpful. Thanks so much!
