yes . hdpe is hard material. LDPE is soft. But I think machine compatibility should be checked.

thanks. the problem is that manufacturers here use HDPE plastic and dont know about LDPE but the the company who makes the mold and is in another country says it is for PE, probably LDPE. i dont know any manufacturue who knows about both types of plastic.

ACtually you can use LD or HD for same mold. The difference is bottle sturdiness. As i Know if Blow molding machine is used then you can use same mold for both the material. Material grade is important.we can use LD & HD both material for same bottle mold.we can use both material for cap that is made by Injection technology. but the material grade is different. LD, HD & PP are all PE. PP is harder than hd & LD.
