  Halal certified ingredients

  I’d like to understand “Halal” ingredient more; what ingredients are allowed and which are not.  For instance, is there any forms of alcohol that are allowed?  What about fermented ingredients?  Does anyone know if BASF will post a consolidated list of their Halal certified ingredients and where to find these?  Are there any other raw material suppliers you know about how have a list of Halal approved ingredients?
