    If you want your product gives good result, then you should avoid white oil.
    It is used to make product cheap.

    There is nothing wrong with it. I assume you are referring to refined mineral oil. It’s stable and does the same thing as other oils from the performance standpoint.

    I would drop the TTO down from 2%. It presents several issues at that level.

    Amit paraffin oil is the base for most of the oils in such cases and there is nothing wrong with it. I am not sure how you are basing  your observation, I have used this oil for last 20 years and had no issue at all no matter what the critics/pseudoscientific crowd had to comment.

    Have you had issues with the Mustard oil at 10% as well? That is also irritating and any evidence that it stimulates hair growth is anecdotal and as such unproven.

    for base oil try Sesame oil or coconut oil.

    I think if your product is Herbal than Paraffin oil should be avoided. (region matter in india paraafin oil is banned in herbal hair oil). If your product is cosmetic than you can continue with white oil. Other country may not have problems with white oil.

    @Microformulation
    Mustard oil stimulates hair growth by increasing blood circulation in the scalp. It contains protein, a major component ofhair, and omega-3 fatty acids – both of which nourish your hairand encourage hair growth. The antibacterial and antifungal properties of this oil prevent hair loss and ensure healthy hairgrowth

    @UsmanAli, there’s no enough proof. You can use it for claims, but don’t expect it to work. I know a ‘smart’ guy who just applied mustard (a sauce) on his head. All he got was a severe rash. And all his friends laughing every time they see mustard.
