    Dears, 
    please state whether excess triethanolamine usage for carbomer neutralization can cause clumping of the gel in one year. thank you

    How much is excess in terms of pH????

    my colleague used to increase TEA in order for Ph increase but it led to clumping in the 1 month 45 C stability oven. but i prefer the equal amount of TEA to Carbomer for normal neutralization and i tried it which passed 1 month 45 C stability without clumping. please give me your opinion.

    The ratio provided for neutralization by Lubrizol states 0.9g/1g of carbomer IIRC. Optimization is the key to formulate successfully while keeping such data in mind.
