    Good morning,
I am working at the moment on the semi-permanent hair colour using Basic Red 76. Depending on the formulation, “red dots” appears into the product after a couple of days at RT and/or 4C or even sometimes after 24h. Under the microscope those red dots look like crystals. Did anyone encounter this type of formula incompatibility? I am trying to remove each ingredient one by one, but so far not much luck. Thank you!

Basic Red 76 is poorly soluble in water; what else have you got in the formula?

Try add benzyl alcohol and another oxygenated solvent
