    Every year I end up wasting a lot of fruit; I have a grapefruit tree that produces quite a large quantity.

    Is there anything I could use it for in a personal care product?

    @Belassi. I want to come live near you.

    And on another totally unrelated note to cosmetic formulation, why don’t you juice them and freeze it? for later use? A small cup after a bad meal should really help with digestion!.

    On a cosmetic related note, I think it will be hard to use large amounts of anything grapefruit. I have used extracts and seed oils in minuscule amounts in formulations but nothing more a than a few drops.

    @Belassi,

    I’m certain that you could make a very nice grapefruit juice based toner, and possibly an AHA-type treatment serum, if you filtered the juice really well first.
    Of course, you could probably make more money just boxing up the ripe fruit and selling it to be shipped up to the US, but that may be more hassle than it’s worth.
