    So I work with GMSE (commonly referred to as Glyceryl Monostearate Self Emulsifying, although I believe the correct INCI is Glyceryl Stearate off the top of my head) on rare occasion and although it is not my favorite emulsifier, I would like to know a bit more about it from shared experiences. In particular I have recently read that several factors effect its performance;

    - pH (5.5-9)
    - EDTA (not good)
    - Percent water (high is preferred)

    Can anyone validate these from their personal experience? Are there additional factors that perhaps should also be considered?

    Thank you for your advice and I look forward to your suggestions.
