    Glyceryl caprylate at 1% could be a co-emulsifier and/or a preservative. Given that there are emulsifiers included but the sole preservative is caprylhydroxamic acid is a strong indicator that it’s main purpose in this product is as a preservative and hence should be added to the water phase.

    @Pharma thanks
    If i use glyceryl caprylate as co-emulsifier with Polyglyceryl-4 Laurate, would that decrease its effectiveness as preservative or not?

    @Pharma so what is the best way to add it to function completely as preservative?
    As it is not water soluble to be added to water phase before emulsion is made.

    @Pharma
    How to add glyceryl caprylate to function as preservative in cold process emulsion?
    Temperature less than or around 40°c
