glucoside allergies noted in Modern Medicine
I noted a while ago that I was removing glucosides from our product range. This was due to a severe allergic reaction to the emulsifier which contained decyl glucoside, followed by several reports of hives with our shampoo that contained 1% Lamesoft.I believe that probably the allergic reactions were caused by absorption into the skin of the glucoside, and in the case of the shampoo, Lamesoft is a refattening agent and likely facilitates glucoside to penetrate into the skin. You may not encounter allergies in the case of a rinse-off product without any refattening additions.
