Geogard ECT includes four preservatives’ benzyl alcohol, salicylic acid, glycerin and sorbic acid.

I am a massage therapist and have been asked by a friend who owns a day spa to develop some spa products. I have been using a shea butter massage balm with beeswax and essential oils, a shea butter whipped body butter and a sugar scrub. All are wonderful and I have been using them in my private practice but now they will become for commercial use. I have decided to use Geogard as my preservatives for these even though they are all anhydrous based, I will add Olivem emulsion to the formulas. According to my research all the preservatives included in the Geogard ECT are all okay for the skin except the Benzyl alcohol. I have read everywhere but have not been able to discover a replacement for the benzyl alcohol. Can anybody recommend a good replacement for benzyl alcohol?
