I want to make a low irritation body wash for kids with atleast 5% glycerin. I know they washoff, but want to include them.

My options are CAPB , SCI; I have them both. I have glucosides but hate their afterfeel on skin. Want to avoid them to be on safe side.

    I started with
    10% CAPB
    6% Hostapon SCI 85
    5% glyceirn

    Foam is nice and small.

I am finding it hard to final my third surf. I planned to add decyl / coco glucoside as third surf, but now want to avoid it. Please help.

Maybe you could try Sodium Lauryl Sarcosinate? some say it is the second best to SLS. They are from two totally different sources. Sarcosinate is derived from coconuts. I use it but nothing works as good as SLS. Oh well that is the pay off. Hope this helps.

May I ask what do you usually use to thicken Sodium lauroyl sarcosinate?

    Xanthan Gum

If I use Xanthan gum , should I use any special preservative to inhibit microbial growth ?

Try Dehyton G, sodium cocoamphoacetate, for your third surfactant. Makes nice dense small-bubble foam. I suggest trying it at 7.5%

    Hello madam,
I am making a Alum based body deodorant, Contents of the Formula being DM Water, Potassium Alum, Camphor, Glycerin and fragrance. I want the solution to stick to the skin rather then running, so i am planning to add Xanthan Gum.

    My question is :
As the Components ALUM and CAMPHOR are both Anti Microbial, Shall i use any preservative in my product?
Will Xanthan Gum, if added will need any particular preservative?

Do you feel if some thing is missing and i shall take care of?

    Please..
