    Hello Dear team. I’m developing a deodorant anti transpiration and the Gel base becomes liquid when fase of pre mixed actives is added. Please help me. Why the Gel is dissolved? 
    the formula is:

    GEL BASE
    distiled Water 48,95%
    CARBOPOL 940 0,50%
    NIPACIDE bit 0,05%
    TRIETALOLAMINE 0,50%

    Actives pre mix
    AGUA DESTILADA 16,60%
    ETANOL 23,00%
    Sodium bicarbonate 2,70%
    Potasium Alum 2,70%

    after mix precedent gel and liquid, finaly fragance is added

    Fragance 5,00%
    TOTAL 100,00

    the gel becomes liquid and remains a grease white precipitate.

    Too much electrolyte for the carbopol to tolerate. The precipitate is the carbopol kicking out. You’ll need to find a more electrolyte-tolerant thickener.

    thanks Bob , <i will try today an alternate formula using creme base instead of gel base. formula is:
    `Fase 1

    tap water  32,07%
    GENAPOL lro 28%  0,31%
    CMCSodium 0,31%
    NIPACIDE 0,06%

    Fase 2
    Cetilic Alcohol 9,45%
    mineral Oil 16,40%
    HOSTAPHAT 1,90%

    Fase 3
    Etanol 25,00%
    Sodium Bicarbonate 6,00%
    Potasium Alum 6,00%
    Fragance 2,50%
    TOTAL 100,00

    I would use for the gel , guar gum, and would allow you to use Active low pH and electrolyte solve the problem

    thanks Bob and AJRC , I’m running test with Xanthan and guar gums. I will adjust the pH with trisodium citrate and citric acid.
