  • Fragrance impact on Vscosity

I had a problem with shampoo viscosity when I change the perfume.

The viscosity with the old frag (at 0.4%) is 39000 cp and I needed 0.2% salt to reach it
The viscosity with the new frag (at 0.5%) is 16000 and I needed 1.2% salt to reach.

    Can you help me please.
    Thanks

@Batoul the new fragrance had a solvent/fixative based on n-alkylphenoxy ethers, notorius for crashing viscosity in built surfactant systems. Perhaps use less?

Viscosity of shampoo should be 4500-7000 cp. So you are on the safe margin. and this is normal some perfume increase the viscosity other decrease it. But you have to do stability test when you changing the perfume

    Thank you so much
I can’t use less frag because I want the shampoo to be well perfumed for marketing issues.
any suggestions for strengthening the perfume without increasing the % of fragrance used?

    Thanks Androus
In case of doing stability test in normal storage conditions, how much time do I need to consider the shampoo stable?

    Stability should be 3 months
