Hello! I have a question about formulation predictive stability testing (testing to ensure that your initial formula is stable rather than stability testing a product for an expiry date).  I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction! I am working on a hand cream formula that has passed the thermal shock (heating to 70C/ cool to RT) and passed heat/cool (heating to 56C/cooling to RT). However, it failed the freeze/thaw testing (cool to -17C / come to RT). I was wondering what types of problems each test points to? I understand that this is testing the emulsion system and how stable the formula is, but does each test show a more specific potential problem with the emulsion? Thank you!
