  FORMULA HELP!!

  Hello all! I’m a little stuck with my formula. The formula I have created hold pretty good but flakes. I’m trying to achieve a stronghold gel but with no flaking. Is that possible? I know that the PVP I’m using is causing the flaking but I really like the hold it provides. I tried to replace the PVP with VP/VA but I wasn’t Impressed with the hold. Is there something else i can use to replace the PVP that reduces flaking or something I can use along with the PVP to help reduce flaking? Maybe something else is wrong with my formula so i will post it so that you can take a look at it…..

  Water 53%
  C-25 25%
  PEG 7 10%
  PEG 40 5%
  PVP 4%
  Glycerin 2%
  Preservative 1%

  I would also like to make the product dry faster….any suggestions on a safe ingredient to add? Thanks in advance!
