I found they moved around rather a lot. But then I realised that it was just air currents.

I did that once, with stinky Calendula petals, in sunflower oil. I think it resulted in a contaminated lotion, but I had no ‘control’ lotion made at the same time with plain sunflower oil, so I’m just speculating here, on the deck, outside.
The petals made the oil a nice color/colour though .
I’m not sure if my answer helps you at all. -
My product will have bitter orange petal extract… it has astringent properties and therefore causes the skin to appear firmer.

Have anyone seen the shower gel with flower petals?
Like this one from china.Shower gel with rose petals, lavender ,etc.
I have seen the real one ,the flower petal is very good condition (no rotting).
I notice that the flower petal inside the shower gel does not has any color. So it is not fade and breed with the color of shower gel.
I was wondering how can we use the flower petals in shower gel.
How about pre-treatment flower petals with some solvents (ex propylene glycol) for color extraction and coat it with some polymer like chitosan or pvp.
Anyone idea?

I’d suggest that the safest method is to soak the petals in 190 proof ethanol first.

Yes, I’ve seen serums with a plant in the bottle.
