What is the best or easiest way to give a face mask that is an o/w emulsion opacity so it’s not transparent on the skin?

    Hello,
not sure what do you mean.
So you create o/w emulsion (a cream) and if you put it on face as a face mask it goes transparent?
The cream should have white colour by itself (depends of course), so if you put it on in thick-enough layer, I don’t see any problem. Unless you are applying really thin layer?
Have you tried to add some pigments?

Clays like Kaolin or Bentonite, white diatomaceous earths, or you could use Zinc Oxide or Titanium Dioxide. All of these will add to opacity.
    Hope this helps. Cheers Catherine

This might be a dumb question but if I use zinc oxide for opacity, I don’t have to worry about the regulations regarding sunscreens right? That’s only if I’m making claims towards sun protection?
