    Hi <div>

    I’m trying to formulate an eyebrow soap

    <div>The product I’m trying to copy has below ingredients: </div>

    Aqua, PVP, Carbomer, triethanolamine, Sorbitol, propylene glycol, Sodium methyl paraben

    The product itself is kind of sticky and isn’t wet but mine turns out wet and has more water, I tried different percentages , but still it’s a wet gel and takes time to dry , the original one dries as soon has it is implied

    (The label sais eyebrow soap but there is nothing in the ingredients that relates to soap )

    </div>

    @WADYA I agree, nothing “soapy” about this formula. This is eyelash setting gel plain & simple. DELETE the sorbitol and problem nearly solved. Be sure to have enough propylene glycol in there to plasticize the PVP or this could flake off into someone’s eyes. As for drying time I suspect they have SDA in there but don’t list it. Can you smell ethanol? If not then they put a LOT of sorbitol and carbomer in there to displace water and make a sticky mess.

    Also make sure your product liability insurance is paid up before market launch.

    Hi @chemicalmatt

    As you said what was written on it was an eyelash gel , I tried your suggestions and thank you for that but didn’t reach the desired product

    So I changed things

    I used 1% PVP , 25% Cetaareth-25 , 10%sorbitol , 5% PG and water

    I reached the final product and it’s good with only one problem , it’s not transparent enough

    Is there a way to increase transparency ?

    Thank you very much
