Ethylhexyl ethylhexanoate suppliers?
I’m having a lot of trouble finding a supplier of this material; the only place I could find was in China and they are charging an arm and a leg for it. Would anyone know where to get it in North America?
Otherwise, I’m open to substituting something else for it, though not sure what. It would be for a lipstick formula. I tried Lexfeel Natural but the end product turned out really sticky. Thank you. -

This is one of those situations where it helps to know a little CTFA/INCI history. For some reason, the moiety we now call “ethylhexyl” used to be called “octyl”, in the CTFA/INCI nomenclature.
So, what is now called “Ethylhexyl ethylhexanoate” used to be called “Octyl Octanoate”Search for that name, and you find:Also, plugging “Ethylhexyl ethylhexanoate” into the PCPC Buyers guide tells me that Symrise sells it.
