Electrolytes and anionic emulsifier
Hi!
I learn that electrolytes reduce the electrical double bond of the dispersed phase particles.
Hence, electrolytes don’t work with anionic emulsifiers that adsorb anions to keep the particles electrostatically away.
However, I see this formulation from the good brand Paula’s Choice.
Water Infusing Electrolyte Moisturizer
What’s the science of mixing stearic acid (anionic emulsifier) and many electrolytes in the formulation harmoniously - both seem to have high enough concentrations?
Thank you!
