  DSM VS BASF UV filters

  Hi all,

  I would like to ask if anyone use these two brands DSM and BASF for UV filters. I use this these two for SPF Calculator and compare when using same ingredients, the expected SPF value different about 10. Is it because the method calculation? or the active content different in this two?

  Welcome to the club, hehe. The issue is of course their calculators (I once tried several combinations of UV filters, and there was a different in SPF from both tools that went up to 30 points, which is weird since they both should use the same entry info (extinction coefficients, etc.).

    yeah, I just wonder what is the formula/principal they use for the calculation.
