Downanol DPM (Dipropylene Glycol Methyl Ether) Alternative?

Can you suggest me an alternative for Dowanol DPM C7H16O3 ? It is hard to get in my region. Or can I use Dipropylene Glycol (DPG) C6H14O3 instead of Downol DPM?“DOWANOL DPM glycol ether is a mid-to slow evaporating solvent. This hydrophilic solvent has 100% watersolubility and is ideally suited as a coupling agent in a wide range of solvent systems. DOWANOL DPM glycol etherhas a higher flash point than DOWANOL PM glycol ether making it easier to handle, store, and ship. Oftenincorporated into latex emulsion coatings DOWANOL DPM glycol ether can be used to prevent shocking(coagulation of emulsion) when hydrophobic solvents are used. They’re fairly similar and switching might be possible with only minor adaptations. For what do you need DPM?

The simple DPM without methyl ethers has higher hydrophilicity and therefore less power to solubilise lipids and fats such as smashed bugs and flies.Hence, the alternative product is likely to be less efficacious in cleaning.

Did you mean car shampoo?
If so, cars don’t really need harsh detergents or solvents
otherwise you’re just stripping oils and solvents from the paint and paint will become dull after a few washes.A plain SLES+SLS shampoo formula works fine on cars.
At the most add some ethoxylated alcohol for extra grease cutting.I have succesfully used dypropylene glycol (the plain DPG) to lower cloud point in neutralized LABSA formulations like laundry and dishwash liquids. So much better than propylene glycol for lowering cloud point.

@Gunther What will you suggest me to use as a solvent that will be mild with paint?
