Do you know of a comparison of exfoliation methods?
I’ve had this nagging suspicion that exfoliation beads were unnecessary and that the so-called mechanical exfoliation is more of a gimmick than anything else. So, I wondered whether there was some kind of published comparison of the exfoliation effects of different methods.
I found this article about how to quantify exfoliation

A search on Google Scholar & the Journal of the SCC didn’t get me anywhere either.
Does anyone know of a study comparing the effectiveness of different exfoliation methods?
