  Do these need preservative ?

  Not a cosmetic product but was wondering if these 2 items would need a preservative.

  Ethyl Acetate 60%
  Water 7%
  SD Alcohol 6%
  PEG-15 Cocamine 23%
  Misc other items

  Also

  Acetone 89%
  Water 6%
  PEG-15 Cocamine 4%

  Thanks for any advice.

  since acetone and ethyl acetate at those levels are extremely toxic to most microbes, I’d say no

  on the other hand, if it’s manufactured in such a way that the water phase is left standing for a long time before being added to the solvent phase, I’d recommend adding something to protect the water phase

  DavidW, My company is manufacturing very simmilar formulations for years and we don’t use any preservatives for them. They are pretty useless here.
