Distilled or Deionised Water
Dear allFirst of all i’m not a chemist and i only have a little knowledge about chemistry and i’m on learning stageMy question is about what kind of water i should use for producing shampoo, hair conditioner and hair tonicI found lot of opinion and some of advice is to use distilled water, but i found 2 type in my local market, its about distilled drinking water and distilled lab grade waterI also found an opinion to use Deionised water and i found theres also 2 type of deionised water, one is for car battery and another one is deionised lab grade waterSeem among of those distilled and deionised water, i found the deionised for car battery is a cheaper one compare to the others, and that supplier also told me even the water is for car battery, that may use in cosmetic industrial such as shampoo, conditioner etc, for laboratory test, cool lubricate etcBelow is the specification of deionised water:Claim for car battery:Resistivity: > 0.2Conductivity: < 5pH@25C: 5.0-8.0Total Organic Carbon: N/ASodium: < 50 ppbChloride: < 50 ppbSilica: N/ALab Grade:Resistivity: > 4Conductivity: < 0.25pH@25C: 5.0 - 8.0Total Organic Carbon: < 200Sodium: < 10 ppbChloride: < 10 ppbSilica: < 500 ppbPlease advice and thank you so much
