    Dear all
First of all i’m not a chemist and i only have a little knowledge about chemistry and i’m on learning stage
My question is about what kind of water i should use for producing shampoo, hair conditioner and hair tonic
I found lot of opinion and some of advice is to use distilled water, but i found 2 type in my local market, its about distilled drinking water and distilled lab grade water
I also found an opinion to use Deionised water and i found theres also 2 type of deionised water, one is for car battery and another one is deionised lab grade water
Seem among of those distilled and deionised water, i found the deionised for car battery is a cheaper one compare to the others, and that supplier also told me even the water is for car battery, that may use in cosmetic industrial such as shampoo, conditioner etc, for laboratory test, cool lubricate etc
Below is the specification of deionised water:
    Claim for car battery:
    Resistivity: > 0.2
    Conductivity: < 5
    pH@25C: 5.0-8.0
    Total Organic Carbon: N/A
    Sodium: < 50 ppb
    Chloride: < 50 ppb
    Silica: N/A
    Lab Grade:
    Resistivity: > 4
    Conductivity: < 0.25
    pH@25C: 5.0 - 8.0
    Total Organic Carbon: < 200
    Sodium: < 10 ppb
    Chloride: < 10 ppb
    Silica: < 500 ppb
Please advice and thank you so much

Rather than answering directly - I refer you to the purified water standard in USP.  Imagine either would satisfy and you should also determine the micro quality.
