Conditioner formulation Hello i need some help in formulation, i start using  As O/W emulsion
    Water phase 1. Water
    2. Glycerol                            1
    3. Cetrimonium chloride  1.5
    Oil phase
    1. Cetearyl alcohol 1618   3%
    2. Stearic acid                      2%
But i am having problem in the emulsion; is not smooth or sometimes do not form a good emulsion, the temperature is 75© for both oil & water phase. Can i add emulsifying wax??? Perry help

Hola’ @Quimico, formula no servir hoy?
DELETE the stearic acid, it is incompatible with cationic alkyl quaternary. Also, add some mineral oil or other aceite to emulsify here or this will be only a rinse. The CETAC alone should work, but if not add small amount of Ceteareth-20 and you’ll be OK. Sodium chloride (sal) will thicken that system too, which many formulators aren’t aware.
