    Hi guys,

I have a question regarding color changes in my formulation. I formulated a concentrate (water-free) with a mix of glycols as solvents, and a few surfactants (sulfates, and APGs mostly).

The resulting concentrate is yellowish. However, after a few days in the lab, it turned brownish. Any idea why?

As far as I know, there are no photo-sensitive prime materials (correct me if i’m wrong), and the concentrate is stored in a closed bottle, so no contact with air for oxidation.

I’m new here but, I like the concept of this website. I hope you will be able to help.

PS: I used the exact same formula for a dozen of batches, and the colors seem to make a gradient.
