  • CMIT MIT+formalin stability in 25% SLES liquid

Can i mix 2% CMIT MIT (300 ppm active) and 1% formalin (3700ppm formaldehyde)  in an SLES solution with 25% active surfactant and store it and use it regularly when making samples and product in large batch?

    Will it be stable?

This is to make these products easier to use.

@PhilGeis can i ask what percentage of surfactant minimum is required to stabilize CMIT MIT?

I make a Shampoo with 8% total surfactant and plan to make a facewash with 5% total surfactant.

    Will it be stable?

Sorry - I don’t know.  You could run a diffusion study to semquantify pres stability.
