Clinical comparative studies - Outsourcing product efficacy testing abroad?
If I had the resources I’d to a comparative clinical study for every product I formulate, to see if an active ingredient is helping vs the base formula and/or see, or at least get an indication if your product is better than the current market leader for whatever condition you’re targeting, this would be particularly relevant for OTC drug formulations.
To do a 30 person study in the US I’ve heard people being quoted around $60000 to contrast two formulas which is prohibitive unless you’re an established brand or have VC money to spend.
Being new to this, the market and pricing seems quite opaque, so I figured I’d ask here for advice. Are there ways to do studies such as these abroad for less, Do you know any trustworthy companies and their ball park pricing?
