I have a copy of the book in my hand right now. Each chapter gives a bit of background about the topic talking about the history, the technology, and how things are made. Then the chapters end with a number of example formulas.
It’s a pretty good book and I reference it frequently. Some of the chapters are better than others but if you are looking for lots of example formulas this is a good book for that. If you are looking for more in-depth background information you would probably do better with Harry’s Cosmeticology. They just get more detailed but have far fewer example formulas. -
Hi Perry,
How can I buy the latest Harry’s Cosmeticology, is it available online??? -
@milliachemist - You can get the latest Harry’s book through Amazon. It’s not online as far as I know.

Hi! This discount coupon expired. I’m subscribe to cosmeticsandtoiletries.com and I received an email with a 40% off until January 29 to all allured books.

Thanks a lot @Perry.
Another thing that I would like to ask you if I can still refer the first edition (1991) of it or it can be called partially obsolete now???? -
@milliachemist - the 1991 edition is still relevant. 80 - 85% of the information is still accurate. Not much changes in the cosmetic industry when it comes to technology.

Thanks a lot @Perry, gotta preserve the book nicely now.

Perry, harry’s cosmeticology 7th edition printed in 1982 is rated at 11176 INR.. Is that worth of investing this much sum ?
