Chemical banned in thailand?
my client told me this chemical is in a formula that is banned in Thailand. I have looked everwhere in COA and all my documents for this and can’t find it. Is there a data base where I could look for this item? It is epichlorohydrin? I have done google searches but nothing connects back to my cleanser formula.

I’m not an expert but it piqued my interest, it looks like the chemical is a residual substance - how did they find it?

I have NO IDEA!!! I just got a message from my client about this substance being banned and I am trying to find out what raw material did it come from….

Does your formula contain glycerin?Synthetic glycerin can be manufactured from propene using epichlorohydrin.Most glycerin is usually manufactured from plant sources due to costs. -
@ozgirl is on the right track: Given the large available quantity of ‘natural’ glycerol these days, I suspect that it’s rather an impurity of an ingredient of the class of glyceryl ether derivative. Most likely candidates are probably chlorphenesin, ethylhexylglycerin, polyglyceryl esters, and alkyl glyceryl ethers. Epichlorohydrin may also come from packaging.

Could also be cationic guar, polyquaternium-10 and the like.
